(query-replace): Definitions moved up.

ed93087045 (Saving Customizations): Emacs no longer loads `custom-file' after 
.emacs in 21.4.  (It never did in prior versions.)  No longer mention
customizing through Custom.

average width. Set fontp->average_width and fontp->space_width to
their appropriate values.
