e082ac9deb Fixes for Ctrl-G support on carbon, replacing old timeout based polling 
with alarm based polling.
mac.c (sys_select): Redo sys_select to use alarm-based
polling instead of 1 sec timeouts (like solaris).
macterm.c (x_make_frame_visible): Comment in polling on
frame creation.
keyboard.c: Undef SIGIO on Carbon
atimer.c (alarm_signal_handler): Call alarm handlers after
scheduling.
eval.c (Feval): Remove quit_char test
process.c (wait_reading_process_input): Remove clearing
stdin for select call on process input

2659a09fb8 Errors and throws work right with interrupt blocking. 
(struct catchtag): New elt interrupt_input_blocked.
(unwind_to_catch): Restore interrupt_input_blocked from saved value.
(internal_catch, Fcondition_case, internal_condition_case)
(internal_condition_case_1, internal_condition_case_2): Save it.
(Fsignal): Don't do TOTALLY_UNBLOCK_INPUT.

d5db40779d Most uses of XSTRING combined with STRING_BYTES or indirection changed to 
SCHARS, SBYTES, STRING_INTERVALS, SREF, SDATA; explicit size_byte references
left unchanged for now.
