reduces the space between the text menu entry and its keybinding
to avoid a misalignement.

The customization option can be set to t or nil, to respectively
always or never show the *Completions* buffer eagerly at the
beginning of a completion session. Furthermore the option can
be set to the value auto. In this case the *Completions* buffer
will only be shown if requested by the completion table.
Completion tables can use the `eager-display' completion
metadata to do so. (Bug#74616, Bug#74617)

In case when 'completions-header-format' is nil, the first 'mouse-face'
property is at the beginning of the buffer. So first use 'get-text-property'

Most of this change is to boilerplate commentary such as license URLs.
This change was prompted by ftp://ftp.gnu.org's going-away party,
planned for November. Change these FTP URLs to https://ftp.gnu.org
instead. Make similar changes for URLs to other organizations moving
away from FTP. Also, change HTTP to HTTPS for URLs to gnu.org and
fsf.org when this works, as this will further help defend against
man-in-the-middle attacks (for this part I omitted the MS-DOS and
MS-Windows sources and the test tarballs to keep the workload down).
HTTPS is not fully working to lists.gnu.org so I left those URLs alone
for now.
tmm uses completing-read, but customizes its behavior so much
that any alternative completing-read-function will almost
certainly break it. For example, both ido-ubiquitous and ivy have
special code to deactivate themselves for tmm.
