c5869484e5 Remove design documents for unsupported operating systems sunos, solaris and osf/1 (protsu, sso1al, vmo1, and vmso). 
Update thread-safety and version-library design documents and move them from old to current.

1747357cec In configure.ac, parse the release name out of code/version.c. 
This means that there is now just one place in the sources where the release name is specified.

c59ff51131 The next release of the mps will be 1.112.0, so update version.c. 
Update the version creating procedure: version.c is now the only file containing the release number.

c2b33bb9b5 Removing hopenames from the master sources. 
This change will be integrated but ignored (-ay) to the gg-epcore/union sources, so that they retain HopeNames.

d0ccf8fa9a Adding hopenames back into the master sources, so that they can be included in the union sources along with the id keywords. 
This was achieved by partially undoing changelist 24817, including an accidental corruption of eventgen.pl.

68e0b8253f Merging changes from union to masters. this incorporates pekka's updates: tuning and a type in amcsshe.c and some adding some missing checks in arenavm.c. it also brings our cope of their hopenames up to date.
